The first edition of the Congresso Médico de Formosa (COMEF) took place from October 27 to 29, 2023, in Formosa, GO, with the theme "Learn, practice, stand out." The event, organized by medical students from the University of Rio Verde, Campus Formosa, attracted 300 participants and featured discussions on medical ethics, education, public health, mental health, clinical medicine, surgery, epidemiology, emergency medicine, and preventive medicine. The congress aimed to enhance health education, strengthen professional practices, and encourage scientific production, achieving its objectives through diverse and high-quality presentations. The organizers express pride in the event's success and look forward to COMEF 2024.
