An 81-year-old woman experienced a 1-year history of erosions and pustules on her scalp, which began after a trauma and spread across the scalp. Initial treatment with topical antibiotics was ineffective. A skin biopsy revealed impetiginized scale-crust, epidermal atrophy, dermal fibrosis, and perifollicular inflammatory infiltrate, leading to partial destruction of hair follicles and scarring alopecia. Despite testing for uncommon pathogens, the exact diagnosis remains unspecified.
