This case report detailed the treatment of a 4-year-old child with alopecia areata using herbal medicine, specifically Gagamchengyeong-tang and Gagampalmul-tang, which initially resulted in significant hair regrowth. After the alopecia reoccurred following illnesses, the same herbal treatment was successfully used again, demonstrating its potential effectiveness. The report underscored the need for further research and long-term follow-up in pediatric cases of alopecia areata, especially when invasive treatments are not suitable.
