A 12-week randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study evaluated the effects of a supplement containing hydrolysed collagen and vitamin C on skin, scalp, and hair. The study found that the supplement, taken daily or every 48 hours, improved dermal collagen, hydration, elasticity, and reduced wrinkles, as well as enhanced scalp and hair condition. These results were measured using confocal microscopy, high-resolution ultrasound, and clinical trichoscopy, with significant improvements observed by week 12. The study supports the clinical benefits of the supplement for combating signs of aging.
