A COMPREHENSIVE REVIEW ON TRIDAX PROCUMBENS LIN

    Tridax procumbens, a member of the Asteraceae family, is recognized for its diverse medical applications due to its rich composition of secondary metabolites, including alkaloids, carotenoids, and flavonoids. Traditionally used in various cultures, this plant exhibits a wide range of pharmacological properties such as antioxidant, hepatoprotective, antiviral, wound-healing, and hair growth-promoting effects. It also demonstrates antimicrobial activity against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, and possesses anti-cancer, anti-inflammatory, and antitubercular properties. This review highlights the phytochemical and pharmacological significance of Tridax procumbens in treating and preventing both acute and chronic diseases.
