A rare case of pemphigus vulgaris in pregnancy

Pemphigus vulgaris (PV) in pregnancy was rare, with only 36 cases reported between 1966 and 2014. A 22-year-old pregnant woman at 13 weeks of gestation presented with PV symptoms, including skin erosions, blisters, and oral ulcers. She was treated with systemic corticosteroids, antibiotics, and supportive care, leading to significant improvement within the first month. Managing PV in pregnancy was challenging due to the disease's progression and potential complications from treatment. Intensive monitoring and a multidisciplinary approach were essential to ensure positive outcomes for both mother and baby.
