Acute Onset of Vitiligo in a Patient with Graves’ Disease and Recurrent Alopecia Areata

This case report discusses a 34-year-old male patient with Graves’ disease who experienced an acute onset of vitiligo following recurrent episodes of alopecia areata. The patient, diagnosed with Graves’ disease 9 years ago, noticed depigmented spots on his neck 9 months ago, which gradually expanded. He has also suffered from recurrent alopecia areata for about 25 years. The simultaneous occurrence of vitiligo, Graves’ disease, and alopecia areata is extremely rare, highlighting the need for physicians to be vigilant about potential autoimmune complications in patients with Graves’ disease.
