Silicate bioceramics/bioglasses have gained attention for their potential in wound healing due to their ability to promote angiogenesis, stimulate collagen deposition, and provide anti-infection properties. These materials offer promising solutions for skin regeneration, addressing the significant public health challenge of extensive skin trauma and its economic impact on healthcare systems. The paper reviews the mechanisms by which these materials aid in skin regeneration, their integration with emerging technologies, and their applications in wound healing, while also discussing their advantages and limitations. The review aims to guide future clinical applications of silicate-based bioceramics/bioglasses in wound healing.
