TLDR Aesthetic gynecology improves women's intimate health and well-being with safe procedures but needs more research and standardized protocols.
Aesthetic gynecology is an advancing field focusing on both aesthetic and functional aspects of women's intimate health, addressing issues like genitourinary syndrome of menopause, urinary incontinence, and sexual dysfunction. The review discusses various procedures, including injectable treatments, energy-based therapies, and surgical techniques, which are generally safe, well-tolerated, and lead to high patient satisfaction and improved well-being, especially for postmenopausal and postpartum women. Challenges include the absence of standardized protocols and long-term data. Ethical practice requires careful patient selection, informed consent, and education on risks and expectations. Further research and training are needed for safe and effective implementation.
