TLDR Androgenetic alopecia is more common in medical students and increases with academic stress.
This study investigated androgenetic alopecia (AGA) among 307 undergraduate students in Peshawar, revealing a higher prevalence in medical students (43.3%) compared to non-medical students (21%). The study found a significant association between AGA and academic progression, with senior students experiencing higher rates of alopecia. The findings suggest that AGA is more common in medical students and increases with academic stress, emphasizing the importance of early intervention and stress management strategies.
