TLDR Activating ALDH2 can boost hair growth.
The study demonstrates that activating mitochondrial aldehyde dehydrogenase 2 (ALDH2) in human hair follicles (HFs) promotes hair growth by inducing the anagen phase, which is the active growth phase of hair follicles. This suggests that ALDH2 activation could be a promising therapeutic strategy for enhancing hair growth.
