TLDR Red onion and Angelica gigas extracts promote hair growth and improve hair health.
The study examined the hair-growth effects of a mixture of Allium cepa (red onion) and Angelica gigas Nakai extracts (RAG) in 25 C57BL/6 mice over 4 weeks. The RAG group demonstrated superior hair growth and antioxidative effects compared to control and 5% minoxidil groups, with significant improvements in hair follicle health and reduced oxidative stress markers. The study suggested that RAG could be a promising natural alternative to chemical hair loss treatments, potentially offering fewer side effects.
