A 29-year-old male with alopecia areata (AA) experienced localized hair loss on the occipital and right temporal scalp. The treatment involved a combination of intralesional triamcinolone acetonide and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections at 3-week intervals. After 5 months, the combination therapy yielded satisfactory results. Despite the ease of diagnosing AA, treatment remained challenging due to the lack of randomized controlled trials and the psychological impact of AA, which could lead to anxiety and depression.
