A disproportionality analysis by Godfrey et al. supports these findings, though causality is not confirmed. The rapid weight loss from semaglutide may lead to nutritional deficiencies and endocrine disruptions, contributing to hair loss. The psychosocial impact of alopecia is significant, affecting patient well-being and treatment adherence. There is a critical need for comprehensive clinical trials to confirm these associations and guide safer clinical practices.
