TLDR Niosomes improve aminexil's effectiveness in preventing hair loss without needing propylene glycol.
The study concluded that niosomes, formed by combining Span/Tween/Cholesterol, provided a stable carrier for aminexil, enhancing its penetration through rat skin and showing greater clinical efficacy in preventing androgenetic alopecia compared to conventional aminexil solutions. Additionally, niosomal formulations offered the advantage of not requiring propylene glycol, a sensitizing co-solvent, making them a preferable option for topical hair growth treatments.
