    The study analyzed stem cell markers in dental pulp and vibrissa cells from C57BL-6 mice, both originating from the neural crest. It compared pluripotent, mesenchymal, and neuroepithelial markers ex vivo and in vitro using immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, flow cytometry, and PCR. The findings showed differential distribution of markers like Oct4, Nanog, Sox2, and others in dental pulp and vibrissa tissues. Both cell types expressed similar stem cell markers but in different proportions, with dental pulp cells (CTPD) showing a broader range of markers compared to vibrissa cells (CTV). Notably, CTPD expressed LRig1 and Blimp1, typically associated with CTV. The study suggested that cells from both tissues could be promising for cell therapy and regenerative medicine.
