Production of Anti-Hair Keratin Antibody and Its Characteristics: Utilization of Cow Colostrum and Milk

    TLDR Cow colostrum and milk can effectively produce anti-hair keratin antibodies.
    The study focused on producing an anti-hair keratin antibody using cow colostrum and milk. Holstein cows were immunized with 50 mg of human hair keratin, leading to a significant increase in antibody levels in both blood and colostrum, reaching a titer of 105. Each immunized cow produced 1-1.5 kg of IgG in colostrum. Further immunizations after 2-3 months post-parturition resulted in milk containing antibodies with similar specific activity to colostrum. The cows could be milked for 300 days, yielding a total of 4-5 kg of IgG. This demonstrated the feasibility of using both colostrum and regular milk for antibody production.
