TLDR The serum effectively improves hair growth and is well-tolerated for post-cancer hair loss.
This study evaluated the efficacy and tolerance of an anti-hair loss serum containing Silybum marianum extract, manganese PCA, and Lespedeza capitata extract in managing post-cancer treatment alopecia. Conducted across 13 countries, the study included 28 subjects, primarily women, with 75% experiencing chemotherapy-induced alopecia. After 3 months of daily application, dermatologists observed a 63% improvement in hair density and a 72% improvement in hair volume. Subjects reported a 90% increase in hair growth, 75% in hair density, 88% in hair volume, and 100% in both hair strength and thickness. The serum was well-tolerated, with 96.4% of subjects rated as having good to very good tolerance. The serum is concluded to be an effective and well-tolerated option for managing post-cancer treatment alopecia.
