TLDR LactoSporin cream reduces wrinkles and improves skin texture safely.
This study assessed the anti-skin-aging effects of LactoSporin, derived from Bacillus coagulans, in a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial with 56 healthy female participants aged 35-65. Over 10 weeks, the application of a 2% LactoSporin cream significantly reduced wrinkles and fine lines, particularly crow's feet, nasolabial folds, and frown lines, and improved skin texture and elasticity compared to a placebo. Instrumental assessments supported these findings, and no adverse events were reported. The study concluded that LactoSporin could be a safe and effective natural ingredient for anti-aging cosmetic formulations, despite limitations such as its single-center nature and short duration.
