Survey On The Use Of Aromatherapy In Algeria

    An ethnobotanical survey conducted in Algeria from January to April 2021 revealed that essential oils were predominantly used by women (90.43%) for cosmetic (45.04%) and medical purposes (35.22%). These oils were applied dermally or inhaled to treat various conditions, including respiratory diseases, urinary tract infections, headaches, sore throats, dental issues, and hair loss. Aromatherapy, as part of phytotherapy, utilized the medicinal properties of plants to promote health and well-being.
