TLDR Combining SVF cells with PRP may boost hair growth in androgenic alopecia.
This case series investigated the use of autologous stromal vascular fraction (SVF) cells combined with platelet-rich plasma (PRP) for treating androgenic alopecia in three male patients aged 32, 43, and 65. The treatment involved scalp injections of SVF and PRP, aiming to enhance hair regeneration through increased growth factors. Results showed significant hair growth and increased density within one to three months post-treatment. The study highlighted the potential of this combination therapy, noting its effects on hair growth cycles and hair follicle regeneration. However, the study was limited by its small sample size and lack of a control group, and it suggested that younger patients with shorter alopecia durations might experience better outcomes. Further long-term studies were recommended to confirm these findings.
