TLDR Ayurvedic treatments helped regrow hair and reduce bald patches in a woman with alopecia areata.
A 32-year-old female with a bald patch diagnosed as Indralupta (Alopecia Areata) was treated using Ayurvedic therapies, including Vamana, Jalaukavacharana, Nasya with Anu Taila, and internal use of Brahmi Vati, Amalaki Rasayana, and Gandhaka Rasayana, along with Neelibhringadi Taila for topical application and dietary modifications. Over two months, significant hair regrowth and patch size reduction were observed, with near-complete restoration and no adverse effects, highlighting the potential effectiveness of Ayurvedic interventions for managing Indralupta.
