TLDR Ayurvedic treatment successfully restored hair in a child with Alopecia Areata.
This case report describes the successful Ayurvedic treatment of an 11-year-old girl with Alopecia Areata, a challenging autoimmune disorder causing patchy hair loss. The treatment, conducted from March to July 2024, involved internal medications like Rajanyadi Churna and external therapies including Pracchana karma and Datura swarasa application. The patient experienced progressive hair regrowth, achieving complete hair restoration without adverse effects. The findings suggest that an Ayurvedic approach may be effective for managing paediatric Alopecia Areata, though further studies are needed for validation.
