Over 6 months, finasteride significantly reduced the Ferriman-Gallwey score and dihydrotestosterone levels compared to placebo, indicating a reduction in hirsutism. Other hormone levels showed no significant changes. All finasteride-treated patients reported a perceived reduction in hirsutism, suggesting finasteride's effectiveness for treating hirsute women with these conditions.
