This comprehensive review of randomized controlled trials evaluates the efficacy of bimatoprost in treating chemotherapy-induced milphosis, a condition affecting eyelashes. Analyzing three studies with a total of 186 patients, the review found that bimatoprost effectively improved eyelash length, thickness, and pigment, as confirmed by digital image analysis, clinician assessments, and patient satisfaction questionnaires. Despite these positive results, the studies' small sample sizes, short follow-up periods, and limited participant diversity indicate a need for further research. Overall, bimatoprost shows promise as a management strategy for nonscalp alopecia in oncology patients.
