    The study investigated biochemical predictors for polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) by comparing 185 female PCOS patients to 36 healthy controls. Key findings include significant alterations in BMI, waist-to-hip ratio, leukocyte count, fasting blood sugar, serum insulin levels, and dyslipidemia in PCOS patients. The study highlighted the uric acid to creatinine ratio as a strong diagnostic marker for PCOS, with an AUC of 0.938, 87.5% sensitivity, and 88.9% specificity at a cut-off > 4.68. This ratio was significantly correlated with platelet count, neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio, fasting blood sugar, LDL-cholesterol, and FSH, suggesting its potential as a reliable biochemical predictor for PCOS.
