    This review discussed the potential of extrusion-based bioprinting (EBB) for skin regeneration, highlighting the limitations of current bioinks, such as inadequate mechanical and structural properties and poor cellular compatibility. It explored strategies to enhance these properties and improve bioinks for cutaneous wound healing. The review emphasized the effects of EBB-based bioinks on wound healing, scar formation, vascularization, and regeneration of skin appendages like sweat glands and hair follicles. It aimed to provide insights into the applications, challenges, and future directions for EBB-based bioinks in skin regeneration.
