TLDR Carcinosin, a homeopathic remedy, helped a young girl with alopecia areata regrow hair and reduce psychological symptoms.
This case report explores the use of Carcinosin, a homeopathic remedy, in treating a pre-adolescent female with alopecia areata over 10 months. The patient showed significant hair regrowth, with the Severity of Alopecia Tool score improving from 90-95% hair loss to less than 10% residual thinning, and consistent improvement on the Ludwig scale. Psychological symptoms, such as anger and fear, also reduced. The study suggests that individualized homeopathic therapy may be beneficial for managing pediatric alopecia areata, though further research is needed to confirm these findings in larger groups.
