The study evaluated the effectiveness of microneedling, alone or with drugs, in treating androgenetic alopecia (AGA) in 60 male patients. Participants were categorized into mild, moderate, and severe groups based on hair loss severity. The mild group received microneedling alone, the moderate group received microneedling with minoxidil, and the severe group received microneedling with both minoxidil and finasteride. All groups showed significant improvements in hair loss severity scores and hair density, with the mild group achieving the best results. The study concludes that microneedling, particularly when combined with drugs, is an effective treatment for AGA, although further research with larger and more diverse populations is needed.
