TLDR Hair regrowth was achieved using 5-Fluorouracil and Bleomycin for scalp atrophy caused by corticosteroids.
A case of plaque alopecia areata on the scalp, which developed cutaneous atrophy due to intralesional corticosteroid treatment, was successfully treated with 5-Fluorouracil and Bleomycin using the Microinfusion of Medicines into the Skin (MMP) technique. This approach resulted in complete and sustained hair regrowth, offering a potential alternative for managing corticosteroid-induced atrophy in alopecia areata patients.
