TLDR Cyclosporin A helps hair grow by increasing certain growth factors.
The study investigated the effects of cyclosporin A on hair growth by examining mRNA expressions of HGF and VEGF in cultured mouse vibrissa follicles. Using RT-PCR and semi-quantitative RT-PCR, it was found that on the sixth day of culture, the expressions of HGF and VEGF mRNA were still detectable in the follicles treated with cyclosporin A, unlike in the control group. This indicated that cyclosporin A upregulated the mRNA expression of these growth factors, suggesting a mechanism by which it stimulated hair growth.

A user humorously suggests an extreme hair loss treatment regimen involving multiple medications and therapies, including Dutasteride, Minoxidil, RU58841, and others, claiming it would prevent hair loss but with potential side effects like gynecomastia. The conversation highlights concerns about safety, side effects, and the effectiveness of such a comprehensive approach.
