TLDR Taking low-dose oral minoxidil during the day improves hair growth more than taking it at night.
This retrospective observational study involving 329 patients with androgenetic alopecia (AGA) found that daytime administration of low-dose oral minoxidil (LDOM) resulted in significantly greater improvements in hair density compared to nighttime dosing. The study suggests that circadian variation in hair follicle biology may play a role in optimizing LDOM therapy for AGA.
