Frambusia is a chronic endemic treponematosis infection caused by the microaerophilic spirochete bacterium Treponema pallidum subspecies pertenue, spreading through skin contact in warm, humid environments, primarily affecting children. Currently, 15 countries, including Indonesia, are endemic to frambusia. The World Health Organization (WHO) classifies it as a neglected tropical disease and aims for its eradication by 2030. To achieve this eradication target, it is crucial to enhance the knowledge and skills of medical personnel for early diagnosis and appropriate treatment.
