    Alopecia areata (AA) in children is a chronic autoimmune disorder causing non-scarring hair loss, with a rising prevalence, especially in adolescents aged 12-17. Children with AA have a 2.59 times higher likelihood of having other autoimmune diseases. The condition adversely affects quality of life due to its visible and recurrent nature. The article stresses a comprehensive approach to diagnosis and treatment, focusing on modern methods and trichoscopic signs to assess severity. A clinical case illustrates the practical application of these management strategies for localized AA in children.
