TLDR Technology expands design thinking possibilities, requiring a hybrid, reflective approach.
The article explores how digital technologies enhance the cognitive and creative capacities of designers, drawing on Marshall McLuhan's idea of media as an "extension of man." Through qualitative analysis and philosophical literature review, it identifies three levels of technological extension, three human limits, and three new paradigms of design thinking. The conclusion is that technology does not replace design thinking but expands its possibilities, necessitating a philosophy of hybrid, reflective practice.
