Impact of Dongeui Hot Spring Water Complex with Sea Slug Extract on Antioxidant Activity and Hair Papilla Cell Proliferation

The study investigated the effects of Dongeui Hot Spring Water Complex (CPX) containing sea slug extract on antioxidant activity and hair papilla cell proliferation. The complex was compared to a control group using distilled water. Results showed that increasing the concentration of Dongeui Hot Spring Water CPX significantly enhanced its DPPH and ABTS radical scavenging activities, indicating higher antioxidant activity than the control. Additionally, the complex promoted greater cell proliferation in HFDPC cells at all concentrations without toxicity, suggesting its potential in preventing hair loss by neutralizing free radicals around hair follicles. The findings support the use of Dongeui Hot Spring Water CPX as a beneficial ingredient for improving scalp health and preventing hair loss.
