TLDR Microneedling with minoxidil is most effective for reducing hair loss and increasing hair volume.
This study evaluated the effectiveness of microneedling combined with minoxidil in treating androgenetic alopecia at the Dermatology service of the Federal University of Pará. Patients were divided into three groups: Group A received microneedling with minoxidil, Group B received only microneedling, and Group C used topical minoxidil. Each patient underwent three sessions, one month apart. Results showed that Group A experienced the most significant improvement in hair loss reduction and moderate hair volume increase, Group B had the least improvement, and Group C had an intermediate response.
