    This study reviews 16 notable drug repurposing patent applications from the third quarter of 2025, highlighting the diverse potential applications in pharmacy. Key examples include guanfacine for autonomic dysfunction, finerenone for low ovarian function and premature menopause, disulfiram for subarachnoid hemorrhage, entacapone for gout, lonidamine for herpes simplex virus-infected cornea, and lithium for reducing peripheral neuropathy from anticancer treatments. These applications are not yet issued patents and mostly lack peer-reviewed publications, but they provide valuable scientific and strategic insights.
