The systematic review titled "Dupilumab's Bidirectional Effects on Alopecia Areata" analyzed data from 56 studies involving 109 patients to assess the effects of dupilumab on alopecia areata. The review included variables such as patient demographics, alopecia areata subtype and severity, treatment regimens, and clinical outcomes. The findings highlighted that dupilumab can have bidirectional effects, meaning it may lead to either hair regrowth or hair loss in patients with alopecia areata. The study utilized Severity of Alopecia Tool (SALT) scores and considered concomitant therapies and follow-up durations to provide a comprehensive analysis of dupilumab's impact on this condition.
