The Effectiveness of Adding Low-Level Light Therapy to Minoxidil 5% Solution in the Treatment of Patients with Androgenetic Alopecia

    The study evaluated the effectiveness of adding low-level light therapy (LLLT) to minoxidil 5% solution in treating androgenetic alopecia in 50 patients. Results showed that the combination therapy significantly improved hair count and diameter, as well as patient satisfaction, compared to minoxidil alone. Significant improvements were observed at 9 and 12 months post-intervention. The study concluded that LLLT is an effective adjunctive treatment for androgenetic alopecia, enhancing recovery and patient satisfaction without increasing side effects.
