Effects of Camellia Oleifera Seed Shell Polyphenols and 1,3,6-Tri-O-Galloylglucose on Androgenic Alopecia via Inhibiting 5α-Reductase and Regulating Wnt/β-Catenin Pathway

    The study explored the impact of Camellia oleifera seed shell polyphenols (CSSP) and 1,3,6-tri-O-galloylglucose (TGG) on androgenic alopecia (AGA) in mice. Results showed that CSSP and TGG alleviated alopecia by inhibiting 5α-reductase and regulating the Wnt/β-catenin pathway, leading to reduced androgen levels and prolonged hair growth. These findings indicate that CSSP and TGG could be promising treatments for AGA by targeting these specific pathways.
