    Shahbaz Aman, Muhammad Nadeem
TLDR The combination of minoxidil and betamethasone is more effective for hair regrowth than minoxidil alone.
The study compared the efficacy and safety of topical 5% minoxidil solution alone versus in combination with 0.05% betamethasone dipropionate cream for treating alopecia areata in 50 patients. Results indicated that the combination therapy was more effective, with 44% of patients experiencing excellent hair regrowth compared to 12% with minoxidil alone. Both treatments were well-tolerated, but the combination therapy showed superior results in hair regrowth at both 12 and 24 weeks. Overall, the combination of minoxidil and betamethasone was more effective than minoxidil alone.
