Comparison of Efficacy of Topical Procapil 5% Solution with Topical Minoxidil 5% Solution in Androgenetic Alopecia

A study comparing the effectiveness of topical 5% minoxidil and 5% Procapil in treating androgenetic alopecia involved 92 patients over six months. Results showed that minoxidil was significantly more effective, with 86.9% of patients reporting improvement compared to 56.5% for Procapil. Global photography and researcher evaluations also favored minoxidil, with improvement rates of 86.9% and 89.1%, respectively, versus 45.7% and 52.1% for Procapil. The differences were statistically significant, indicating that minoxidil is more effective for treating androgenetic alopecia.
