This case report highlights the successful management of alopecia areata in a 19-year-old female using an integrated Ayurvedic approach, achieving complete hair regrowth within 2 months. The treatment involved five weekly sessions of Jalaukavacharana (leech therapy) for purification, along with comprehensive pacification therapy using internal medications, topical applications, and lifestyle modifications. The patient experienced complete resolution of hair loss and gastrointestinal symptoms without any adverse effects, and follow-up assessments showed no recurrence. The case suggests that combining Raktamokshana and Shamana Chikitsa could be a safe and effective alternative for managing autoimmune hair loss, meriting further research.
