The study conducted by BLDE University aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of combining topical minoxidil with microneedling compared to using topical minoxidil alone in treating androgenetic alopecia. This randomized controlled trial involved a total of 200 participants, providing a robust sample size for the investigation. The results indicated that the group receiving both minoxidil and microneedling showed significantly greater hair regrowth compared to the group using only minoxidil. The findings suggest that the addition of microneedling enhances the efficacy of minoxidil in promoting hair growth in individuals with androgenetic alopecia.
