TLDR Combining hyperthermia with natural compounds and conventional treatments improves cancer therapy effectiveness and reduces side effects.
Hyperthermia (HT) is an effective adjunct to conventional cancer therapies, enhancing treatment efficacy by inhibiting DNA repair, increasing drug uptake, and improving oxygenation. It induces cancer cell death through oxidative stress and damages tumor vasculature while downregulating factors that promote tumor progression. Combining HT with natural compounds like propolis and flavonoids further improves outcomes by enhancing ROS generation, modulating the tumor microenvironment, and activating immune responses. This combination offers a multifaceted approach to cancer therapy, potentially reducing side effects and supporting tissue regeneration.
