TLDR A benign tumor on the cheek, called trichoadenoma, should be surgically removed for cosmetic reasons.
A 42-year-old male presented with a solitary, firm, non-tender nodule on his left cheek, diagnosed as trichoadenoma, a rare benign tumor derived from the hair follicle. Histopathological examination revealed an encapsulated tumor with horn cysts and follicular epithelium, without nuclear atypia. Trichoadenoma is characterized by non-specific nodules, often on the face, and requires histopathology for diagnosis due to its similarity to other conditions like pilomatricoma and sebaceous cysts. Although benign, surgical excision is recommended for cosmetic reasons or larger lesions.
