Formulation and Evaluation of Flaxseed as a Hair Mask

This study developed a natural hair mask incorporating flaxseed gel, rice water, fenugreek seed extract, curry leaf extract, and turmeric extract, aiming to provide a safer alternative to chemical hair products. The ingredients offer various benefits: flaxseed improves moisture and shine, turmeric acts as an antiseptic, fenugreek strengthens hair, curry leaves boost follicular activity, and rice water reduces friction. The product was tested for pH, viscosity, spreadability, and stability, showing satisfactory results with no notable degradation. The presence of phytochemicals like tannins and proteins contributes to hair strengthening and dandruff reduction, making it a cost-effective alternative to commercial products.
