TLDR The combination method is more efficient for hair transplants.
The study compared two methods of follicular unit graft dissection: using a video microscope alone and a combination of video microscope for slivering with loupe magnification for graft-cutting. The combination method demonstrated greater work efficiency, producing nearly twice the number of grafts in 186% less time compared to the video microscope alone. Both methods had similar transection rates, with the video microscope at 2.2% and the combination method at 1.6%. The findings suggested that the combination method was more efficient for hair transplant procedures.
