TLDR The herbal shampoo effectively cleanses, nourishes, and promotes hair growth without causing skin irritation.
The study focuses on the formulation and evaluation of a multipurpose herbal liquid shampoo using natural ingredients like Horse Gram, Amla, Fenugreek, Hibiscus, and Flaxseed extracts, known for their cleansing, nourishing, conditioning, anti-dandruff, and hair growth-promoting properties. The shampoo, adjusted to a pH of 5 for scalp compatibility, demonstrated a brownish color, pleasant odor, and slightly thick texture. It showed medium foam formation, effective cleansing action, and left hair feeling soft. The formulation, with a 20.8% solid content, was turbid due to the herbal extracts but caused no skin irritation, confirming its safety for topical use.
